Nihan Yilmaz (-NHN-) is an artist whose work reflects a deep passion for sharing meaningful messages and lessons, combined with a dedication to exploring global themes and events through acrylic paint.
Born in Genk, Belgium in 1993, Nihan spent his childhood drawing his favorite cartoon characters from TV and video cassettes.
His interest in art began at a young age, after successfully completing a kindergarten assignment involving painting a bird in a cage. Since then, he has spent countless hours sketching, painting, and experimenting with different materials. Nihan’s talent and dedication eventually led him to pursue a formal art education at the Maasmechelen Art Academy, where he remained active in the arts throughout his youth.
After completing his college education in Business Management, Nihan started to professionalize as an artist. He exhibited his work on various social media platforms and participated in local and regional art projects. Over time, his work started to gain attention and he sold dozens of works and commissions.
Today, Nihan is known for his striking art and spontaneous painting style, often using acrylic paint or spray paint. He is particularly interested in exploring human qualities and teaching lessons, which he approaches by presenting them as an attractive image.
One of his most striking works is the painting "Successful since birth" (seen above), which shows a rejection of the labels that children or even older people receive from others based on made-up criteria. This painting represents the individual who decides from the beginning to become a success.
In addition to his studio practice, Nihan is dedicated to giving back to the art community. He regularly attends meetups to connect and exchange ideas with other artists, and enjoys mentoring emerging artists.
Looking ahead, Nihan plans to continue pushing the boundaries of visual art, exploring new techniques and materials, and delving into the real world that inspires his work.
He aims to exhibit his work worldwide and inspire others to pursue their own artistic passions.
